  2. The official release of the UMSDOS-0.3a diffs required the Linux 1.1.14
  3. kernel (or was is 1.1.12?) This patch allows you to use UMSDOS-0.3a with the
  4. Linux 1.0.9 kernel. It also adds a few other features from 1.1.x and other
  5. places:

  7.    the new zBoot routine (that lets you use much larger kernels without running
  8.    out of memory during decompression), the PPP 0.1.2 driver, and the double
  9.    speed Mitsumi driver from Unifix.

  14. First, make sure you have Linux 1.0.9 kernel source in /usr/src/linux.
  15. Then:

  17. cd /usr/src
  18. zcat umsdos-0.3a-for-1.0.9.diff.gz | patch -p0
