- The official release of the UMSDOS-0.3a diffs required the Linux 1.1.14
- kernel (or was is 1.1.12?) This patch allows you to use UMSDOS-0.3a with the
- Linux 1.0.9 kernel. It also adds a few other features from 1.1.x and other
- places:
-
- the new zBoot routine (that lets you use much larger kernels without running
- out of memory during decompression), the PPP 0.1.2 driver, and the double
- speed Mitsumi driver from Unifix.
-
-
- To install:
-
- First, make sure you have Linux 1.0.9 kernel source in /usr/src/linux.
- Then:
-
- cd /usr/src
- zcat umsdos-0.3a-for-1.0.9.diff.gz | patch -p0
-
- Feel free to send in bug reports, comments, and flames regarding this patch.
